The wool is Fine Ramouillet Merino wool which is sourced in the U.S.A. Much of it from the Rocky Mountains.

Nylon and elastic mixed with the wool create increased durability and stretch to the material so it will last longer.
Midweight Micro Crew have a Full bottom cushion for comfort.
LITE (Lightweight) Micro Crew have cushioning mostly on the heel and toe and less mid-foot cushion. They are made to be worn with lighter, form fitting shoes. All of the socks are midweight unless they say LITE.
To wash your socks, turn them inside out and wash in a cold, unbleached cycle.
